We’re delighted to be joined for this lunch by Liz Lewis from the Talent Factory who will give a short presentation at 12.30.

In a quiet courtyard off the Bromley Road in Catford, the Talent Factory provides space for people starting their own companies as well as being the centre of operations for Capital Talent. Their vision is of an enterprise hub whose members pay below market rent and share their complementary skills. All of the businesses they support will  offer work experience placements to local people who are just starting their careers or who are unemployed and finding their way back into the job market.

Capital Talent was setup by a group of education professionals who combine to offer consultancy to central and local government and to schools, and have established the Griffin Schools Trust whose aim is to sponsor Free Schools and academies, serving the most disadvantaged communities.

When starting Capital Talent, Liz and her colleagues found it very difficult to find quality offices in the area, still less a hub where people can share space and ideas and extend their personal networks. So, they bought the Talent Factory as a shell just over a year ago and have developed it into a really pleasant place to work. They have used re-cycled materials and a mix of antique and modern, industrial and domestic styles.

Liz says, “We want to flush out all the interesting home workers, start-ups and energetic entrepreneurs locally to stop everyone travelling out of the area to work. We also want to support young and older people who are unemployed and want to get back into work. At the lunch, I’ll be talking about the Factory and its potential to become a hub for business and entrepreneurs in SE London.”

Join us on the 25th May to hear more about The Talent Factory and how it can help your business.

Order lunch at the bar as you arrive, food will be served at 1pm.

We’ll be on the right of the bar.
