Could you look after a cat or dog in need?

Battersea Dogs & Cats Home are looking for volunteer foster carers to provide temporary homes for animals who are most in need of care and attention.

“We’re looking for people who have time to care for cats or dogs in their own home.  We supply all food and equipment, cover medical costs and travel expenses.  To be a cat fosterer, we’re looking for someone with a spare room and the patience and care to give to undersocialised cats or newborn kittens.  For dog fosterers, we’re looking for people with dog experience who are happy to provide care to dogs who struggle to cope in our kennels until they are rehomed – ideally, you’ll have very few leaving hours and no young children.”

In the spirit of collaboration, there won’t be a speaker at this event, but a group discussion instead. You are invited (but not compelled, if you’d rather just listen!) to share the highs and lows of running your business, to inspire others to overcome those niggling difficulties, and maybe find inspiration yourself:

• What are the three things that have been most effective at moving your business forward?
• What’s the single thing that’s most held you back?

After the group discussion, the size and flexibility of the space means you will have an opportunity to exhibit your work. For those whose work has no physical manifestation, a digital projector will be available.
